Who gave the State the right to define marriage? The Church.
Who gave the State the right to enforce marriage? The Church.
In fact the church asked for it long ago. And they ask for it every time they tell their members to go to the State to get a marriage certificate.
Who else has given the State this right? Anyone who has ever acquired a marriage certificate from the state. That might include you. Perhaps, you didn’t understand that when making a covenant between you and your spouse that you did not need to go to the state in order to get a license, or get permission from the State to do so.
The covenant is not between you, your husband/wife and the State. It is a sacrament of God similar to baptism.
Imagine if the State had redefined marriage as only between two homosexuals. Would pastors of churches then bow to the State and be sure to only marry a homosexual? Would they say “We must do as the State tells us.” Well, many have done just this ignorantly. Now the time has come where they will have to take a stand for this mistake.
Marriage is a covenant that was instituted at creation by God between a male and a female. We read the following of this first covenant:
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
This same covenant is referred to and likened to the covenant of becoming part of God’s Church. Let me explain.
1Corinthians 6:15-16 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
You’ll notice that this covenant that makes you a member of the temple(church) of God, or the body of Christ, is likened to the covenant made between the male and the female, that made them “one flesh”. That covenant was not “The three shall be one flesh”.
Being attached to another church while being part of the body of Christ is considered fornication. In the same sense being attached to a harlot while married to a woman is also fornication. Churches are never men in scripture. And furthermore, the covenant is to be between the two, the male and the female. The ordinance that makes us members of the body of Christ is “baptism”.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body
We don’t go to the state to get a baptismal certificate when entering into this covenant. This is a marriage covenant. The State is not to be involved in this covenant nor define who can or cannot be baptized.
Is it not interesting to note that the symbol that is used by homosexuals is the rainbow? Their official flag is a rainbow. That rainbow, however, was given by God as a symbol of the “everlasting covenant” of God.
Genesis 9:16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
So here is what the bow symbolized. A covenant. And God made a covenant with man. And this covenant was also symbolized in the very first marriage covenant. Is it not interesting that Satan is attacking the sign of the covenant, the rainbow? The covenant unites us with Him, and makes the two one.
What does a female symbolize in prophecy? A church. His Bride, but also, the everlasting covenant.
Gal. 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Gal. 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants;
In this prophecy of Abraham, the woman he married was Sarah, and she was a symbol of Jerusalem which represents the New Covenant. The marriage between him and his wife. The two were one flesh. Hagar, a symbol of the old covenant would be outside of this covenant, even a violation of that covenant. He cannot be attached to two women at the same time. This is a violation of the covenant. This woman, Jerusalem, is also the one that stands on the moon and is also represented as the bride of Christ. (Rev 12:1)
The covenant of God with His church is very similar to the covenant of marriage.
Hebrews 12:22-24 Ye are come unto… the heavenly Jerusalem… the general assembly and church of the firstborn… And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant.
Jerusalem = Church = New Covenant = Mother of us all(woman)
Since she is the mother of us all, and we are “the remnant of her seed” (Rev 12:17) there has to be a marriage covenant with the lamb in order for the seed to be conceived.
Now let me ask something. When you enter into covenant with God, do you go to the State to ask for permission to become a member of the body of Christ? Do you go to the State to ask them to grant you a certificate for this covenant to be a member of your church? No.
Why do you go to the State to get permission to get married? Why do you give the State permission to enforce and define the law of God? Marriage is an institution of God, just as the Sabbath. They are twin institutions given at creation. It seems however that the church is always looking to have morality enforced by law, so this is why they go to the state to define these things.
The government is a civil government, and they are to enforce civil law. When people are uncivil and harming the life, liberty and property of others, then the government is hired by and for the protection of the people. It is not called the moral government, it is called the civil government. There is one moral governor, which is God. Only God can truly enforce His law.
The government is not ordained to enforce the law of God or an institution of God.
Matthew 22:21 …. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.
The word “Caesar” means “Civil”. God ordained marriage at creation before any civil government was formed. So now, if I am to go to the State to get a marriage certificate, I am giving that which pertains to God over to Caesar and I am in plain violation of the words of Jesus.
Someone might say that the civil government enforces the commandment not to “murder”. No, it can’t, and it does not enforce the moral law. Jesus said that the commandment was much broader than that and expounded on that commandment by saying “that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:” (Matt 5:22)
Can you imagine the government trying to enforce that commandment? They would then have to know your heart. Only God can enforce the moral law.
When we give that power to the State, they now have the right to enforce those things that pertain to God. And so now that we have given that power to the State, if the State decides to redefine marriage, it is only because the church has rendered to Caesar the thing that God has already defined.
On June 26, 2015 the supreme court took the biblical sacrament of marriage and redefined it. Same sex marriage was made legal in all 50 states. It should not have been illegal in or even in the hands of the State in the first place. If homosexuals wanted to come together, then they could have been free to do so. However, now, they have power to force churches to marry. And they have been dreaming of this day.
Any church that is 501c3 now must marry homosexuals or face civil penalties, unless individual state laws are put in place to protect their first amendment rights. These churches are now fighting back. But they don’t know that the weaponry they use is Satanic because they are still asking the State to define marriage. They still ask the State for marriage certificates. But the State themselves never had the right to define marriage ever, and for the church to fight back is nothing less than rendering to the state that power where it ought not to have power. It was the church that gave Caesar that power to begin with.
Can you imagine if a homosexual came to your church saying they had a certificate from the State that said they could be members of your church? They could say the State had redefined the covenant of God, and that they are now part of that body. And if you did not submit you would be sued, and if you didn’t pay you would be thrown in jail.
Is this wrong? Yes. It is equally as wrong for us to go to the State to get marriage certificates or for pastors to accept them into the church. Pastors should reject them. Pastors should not get Wedding Officiant Licenses either. Now they can face discrimination penalties if they are pursued.
The church and state are to be separated. The moral law is not to be enforced by civil government. But here we have made a bridge for church and State. And we have moral laws being enforced now by civil government, and it began with marriage. All because we didn’t realize that we NEVER were to give the State the power to define or enforce marriage. We were never to give that which is God’s unto Caesar. This institution was instituted by the Father and was a covenant between the male and the female.
It is not even given to an elder or pastor to marry. Scriptural evidence for a pastor to take upon himself such a position is lacking. Yet if a pastor is to officiate a wedding ceremony to marry two people, he should, just as with the institution of baptism, make certain they understand that they are entering into covenant in the body of Christ. “What God has joined together.” And we merely recognize it as that. No man ever joined them together. And we render to God the things that are his.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body
When we become “members one of another” (Eph 4:25). We have entered into this “covenant” with God. As a responsible pastor, we should not baptize members we know to be walking contrary to the faith, in the same manner a responsible pastor should not marry those who walk contrary to the faith. The State is to have nothing to do with the institution of marriage. And the church is not to marry unless it is a covenant that they see God has joined together.
The rainbow is the sign of God’s covenant. The rainbow has now been perverted and used as the sign of the homosexuals redefining that covenant. After now having the power of the State to enforce moral laws, the United States Whitehouse was lightened with the rainbow’s colors.
And is there anything to say for a nation that has already been left desolate of the Holy Spirit, but to “Repent”. We are told in the bible that the land will vomit the inhabitants of the United States out of the very earth that protected them just as it did to Sodom and Gomorrah.
The land of the free, the land where many found refuge from the bloodshed they came away from during the dark ages of history where the Papal Church persecuted and made war with the saints of God.
Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
The significance of this institution being enforced by the United States government is no doubt an abomination to God.
And it is for “the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate” (Dan 9:27)
Leviticus 18:24-26 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
Judgment is coming on America.
Leviticus 18:27-28 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
It is interesting to note that these statutes were for “ALL NATIONS”. And that other nations were spued out of their lands because of violating these statutes. Can we expect anything else for America if our Father in heaven is consistent? These are but more signs of the coming JUDGMENT on AMERICA.
God has a covenant with His bride, and there is no state that is to enter into that. Same should be true with what God has joined together as one flesh. The State should not be asked to define this, it should only be asked to protect religious liberty. To uphold the first amendment of the United States and make no law respecting a religion.
1. God defined Marriage
2. The Churches want the state to enforce God’s institution
3. The State redefined God’s institution.
4. Marriage is a covenant
5. The Rainbow is a symbol of the everlasting covenant
6. The covenant of God is symbolized by the bride of Christ, New Jerusalem
7. Homosexuals have used that rainbow to lighten up the whitehouse after redefining marriage.
8. The sacrament of marriage is similar to baptism
9. We don’t ask the state to make laws regarding baptism or give us baptism licenses. Why do we go to them for Marriage Licenses.
10. The land is full of abominations which are even being enforced as moral law.
11. The land can only vomit the inhabitants out of it. Judgment is coming.
